I spent this weekend down at the Atterbury range and put another 230 rounds through a Springfield 1911 I bought last month. That puts me at about 500 total through the pistol with only 1 failure to eject. I'm pretty happy with it so far. After the FTE, I did a detailed strip and clean and found the ejector tube pretty dirty. I've put about 350 rounds through it since then without an issue.
I bought this used and so far, so good. It's a stock Springfield Mil-Spec (early type, from before they offered the GI). My plans are to do some minor mods as I gain experience with it. At this point, it is more accurate than I am, so the biggest task is to put as much ammunition through it as I can afford do improve myself before I worry about the gun.
I'm having a ball with it though.
