Yes, there is no way it is actually DAO. This is the same frame that was created for the .500 S&W and if S&W ever built a DAO version of the X-frame, they did a great job of keeping it a secret. The clear, and possibly only market for this, is as a hunting revolver and no one wants a DAO revolver for hunting.

the .350 legend was designed for the AR platform, it's a .223 necked up, so the round could use the same BCG on an AR, also designed for states that require straight walled ammo for deer. I'd like to have an upper in that caliber, and the revolver would be cool too...yes, it is like a .357 maximum maximum...

Practice ammo not bad price, widely available.

Yes, the BFR is available in .350 Legend as a custom option or distributor special. It's not a standard production chambering which is how S&W can claim this is the first production revolver chambered in .350.
