Hello all, was reccomended to the forum by some fellow car/gun enthusiasts from an Indy forum. Loving what I see so far. Currently only sporting an old Winchester bolt action single shot .22 but that's because I've got my supplier locating a XD .45ACP Compact for me. Fiancee is a Glock owner (no idea what kind as I hate the feel of those things) and I can't wait to go to the range with her sometime this winter and squeeze off a few rounds.

Used to own a XD.40 Tactical a year or two ago, but sold it to finance getting the toy car up and around for the summer. Never got around to replacing it until Goback Nobama got voted in. She's not a big fan of scary black guns so no AR for me just yet (if ever now) and I'll probably keep a desert motif on the new one. I'm a bit of a gun ricer at times. Here's some pics of my old Tactical. Please excuse the ****** light/laser combo. When I sold it the gun had a polished feed ramp, hand polished slide, Don's guide rod with 19# spring and a Hogue Handall grip. Trigger job and re-coat was on the way but I never got around to it.

    Welcome!

Although I'm a devout Glock guy, I'd give serious consideration to the XD .45 Compact if I ever switched to a .45.
