Saw a pic of just one boat burning in the center. Fire can and does spread quickly. Most of the materials on those boats are combustible.

Watched fire start on a house from the neighbors house burning. Same thing could happen on a boat I would think.
It would and has but as mentioned they all look to be involved as 1.

The side by side moored boats yes. The gap from the docks would slow the spread some I would think.

Once caught a boat is going to burn.

    First boat.
    That just sux.

This house burnt recently in my neighborhood. Pine frame and vinyl siding, they are 80% gone by the time the fire dept gets there. This one was reported as a chimney fire, it melted the siding off the houses on either side.

Even though we had our fireplace inspected a couple of years ago, I'm never using it again.

Yeah, my guess is either a heater malfunctioned or a bubbler shorted out. I can definitely see how they all burned though. That fiberglass burns so hot and quickly....

Edit. I was just looking at photos before the fire....and man there are extension cords everywhere going into them boats. It could have been anything that started this, heater, charger, bubbler.....who knows.
