Love me some two stroke, My first street bike was a 72 Kawasaki triple then in 1977 I bought a 76 KZ900 LTD that I still own.

Strange time for triples, My first street bike was a 80' Yamaha Midnight Special 850 triple, gold trim, pretty bike.
    Looked identical to this one...

I put a set of straight bars on it like these, the oem were mid height pull backs.
Installed a Mac 3-1 header, pulled out the baffle of course.
It did NOT like to change it's line when going down the road, you really had to put some effort into steering.

I had a plain 750 about the same year and it was fun to ride and I also had an 1983 midnight maxim.. a 750 with the dreaded 2nd gear issue. Loved the trim on that package..
As soon as I finish the rd I have a 1975 xs650 to start on. It run but needs carbs redone. I did take all the 1970’s fairing and bags off

I've been working on this since last October and fired it up for the first time a few days ago.

Waiting on the body parts to come back from the painter.
