Wife and I rode to Magnet for a late lunch at Betty Ray's. 105 miles round trip is about the wife's limit. Great day for August in the low 80's

Any suggestions for an app/website that helps get decent prices on last minute overnight stays? Im old school and dont like apps but when I google map places it gives five or more book with us sites, just looking for some real INGO riders input on what you use when you travel.
So the wife and I took our trip and I did it the old school way of when we're ready to call it a day we find a place that doesn't look like the ghetto and stop in and see what's available. I did use the hotel.co..... recommendation for a night at the casino and we got a good rate but when I got there was not thrilled with the parking which reassured me that's why I like to see it before I commit. I ended up parking under a light that I could see from our room and the lady at the desk assured me security was on patrol. Any way figured I would share some pictures of the great lakes that I love so much riding the coast lines of. Oh and I must have bought a special Harley cause it never leaked or burned any oil and the damn thing never even broke down...... IMG_0724.JPG Northwest side of Lake Michigan off M22 IMG_0740.JPG IMG_0731.JPG

One of the many bridges those who do not like what America stands for can use to get to Canada, I prefer to stay here and just show them the way out...

Bonus points if you can tell me where I took this one. I traveled this road with my son about 7 years ago and it was just as I remembered it then, my wife said as beautiful as the Mackinaw bridge was this was more fun. It is northern Michigan but on the troll side....

My old bike, a Superglide Sport would wheelie easier than the bike I traded in which is a Fat Bob. My new bike it's just get in the right powerband and grab some throttle. It acts like Viagra! If a wheelie stays up more than 4 hours, consult an emergency room...

I pieced together a very capable ZRX1200r a few years ago. It's a beast....but sadly it doesn't get ridden much.
1224/cams/lightened crank with a ZX-1100 6-spd and a custom EFI system. Titanium full exhaust system.
ZX-14 forks fitted with CNC'd triple trees and Ohlins rear shocks. +3" custom swingarm, forged race wheels, carbon fiber and titanium EVERYWHERE. Lots of one-off parts and hard to find pieces. I won't say how much I spent putting it together but it's not worth half what I have in it to anyone else. I often think about selling it and just accepting the loss but then I straddle that bad boy and fire it up.... all thoughts of selling are quickly erased. IMG_20210321_110021836_HDR~3.jpg

If you need someone to throw a leg over and keep her fresh once in awhile, my services are available… :)

I sold a 2003 Kenny Roberts edition Yamaha FZ1 to help fund our move out here to Indiana. It, and the ZRX, are the two quintessential naked Japanese bikes of the modern era, IMO. Someday I’ll own a ZRX for awhile, too. And a first gen ZX10R. Man, those late-90’s/early 2000 bikes looked and rode great!!
