i’m confused. What exactly is a “deer loin mushroom”, or “fried taters pork” for that matter?

For the first time in my life I picked frozen fungus in 25° weather. If you tried to pinch them off the stump the stem would shatter. I was worried they would turn to mush after thawing bit they turned out nice. Little over 70.

Wife and I found about 25 or so greys on the 4th and over 30 yellows on the 11th in Clark county. Hoping for one more good weekend... will go out again this Saturday morning and try our luck.

I thought I saw a report of someone finding some blacks up this way last week, but now I can't find the picture. Did look back and found reports of a couple people I know having a good day last May 9th, so there's still hope.

Need new reports from the Indy area to see if they are moving this way still. The snow we had Fri really threw a monkey wrench in my mushroom season

Found about 30 tiny greys in Hamilton county today. The largest one was smaller than my thumb and the smallest ones were the size of a pee....I left them in the woods and picked a bag a snake heads for dinner....good but not the same..LOl

We are still probably a week or two out for a good crop if the weather works with us

A friend of mine found just over a pound of yellows on a south facing hill in Brown County in my woods today. He promised to share some of his next batch. I hope to beat him out to my favorite spot so he will not need to share.

Brother found a handful of blacks today, saw another guy who said he found some also. He said he found a patch of small grays he left, wouldn't tell my brother where
