I received this e-mail today, seems interesting. I probably got this because I have purchased Michigan non-resident fishing licenses in the past. Seems like a lottery system, notice you can PURCHASE as many chances as you would like.

Many state have lotteries such as this, some for big game tags, or a certain draw zone, some for accomadations and guided hunts. It's good business for them, as out of state tag dollars are sometimes 60%-90% of tag income. (Montana elk tag for resident, $12. Montana elk tag for non-resident, $1250.)
