So he was a minor when he was convicted of the crime. Did his time in a mental institute... all of which is kept strictly confidential and also his records as a minor are sealed, all of which would not show up on a back ground check. Am I wrong?

I find it funny if what I am saying is correct that the local law men don't have a clue as to how this individual was approved. Seems pretty clear cut and dry.

IN a odd way im glad this happened, because it shows some of the real problems.... mentally ill people and better communications between agencies to make sure people like this doesnt get guns legally... This is the real problem, not the ak15s or the ar47s.....
