Some of these security companies really toe the line when it comes to impersonation. Uniforms, patches, marked cars, radios, etc.
When my son bought his former police car, I took a deep dive into what he could and could not have on it. Blue, red or white flashing lights are the biggest no-no. Beyond that it gets more vague. You can't "impersonate" a LEO, but there is not a specific law about markings on the car.

Can you have markings on the car if you don't try to represent yourself as a LEO in word or deed? Not a good idea, but maybe. Personally, I wouldn't come close to the line. My son's car is just an Arizona Beige Crown Vic with a spotlight, steel wheels and no chrome. There is a small "Police Intercepter" badge, but that's the name of the model.
