I started a new handgonne and figured I would do a thread with some more pics.

    Facing the ends

    Center drilling

    drilling a 3/8" pilot hole

    stepping up to a 9/16"

Now drilling to the final bore size using a modified silver and demming drill.

That little bit was as far as I got today I will start the profile hopefully tomorrow and then crown the muzzle.

I was just thinkin that I hadn't made a .62 yet and decided that's was what I was what I was going to make. Now that I made it it hit me that I don't have any .62 balls only .451 .50 and .75

drilling the 3/8" pilot for the socket

    drilling to socket size

    muzzle

    socket

    starting barrel taper

    filing barrel taper

I have some more pics but photobucket is acting up will post them in a bit

    cutting radius near breech end

    turning taper on tiller socket

cutting the angles on muzzle swell

    center drilling for touch hole

I didn't take a picture drilling the actual touch hole since I didn't want to break the drill

drilling a "pan" over the touch hole with 3/8" drill

as it is right now it is in firing condition all that needs done is a few test fires and final polishing. I will post a pic of it in its current state in a bit

Will A pyrodex can work? Unfortunately I haven't joined the super awesome goex can picture club. The OAL is 12" and the major diameter is 1.5"

Well I finally got to shoot it today. The video doesn't really pick up all the sound, this sucker was loud. The second shot I blew the handle off of the jug so it wasn't a complete miss.

Judging by how scared you seem to be holding that thing.... Maybe you should turn the thing into a miniature cannon that you don't have to hold....

    Looks like fun though.

The recoil on this one hurts when loaded with normal loads it isnt that bad and i dont seem as scared looking. When i ran from it it was because i didnt want to stain my clothes. Im going to be using one to hunt with this fall.

Oh and i want to point out that in the last shot when i reprimed i had the incense stick still in my hand which is unbelievably dangerous. I know a couple other members have gonnes so try to avoid doing what i did. Had to call myself out on that one

Is it legal to electronically set the charge off? I know nothing on BP. Oh and I am about to start working on the bases for my mortars!
