So I have a quick question. I have looked through the site and some other places and I'mn pretty sure I know the answer but want to double check. You can or can't carry with a loaded handgun? Loaded being magazine inserted round in chamber. How does everyone carry..loaded or unloaded?

When I was in California I could carry but it had to be unloaded.

In before an unloaded gun is a good as a brick. IBAUGIAGAAB.

EDIT: CRAP, I WAS TOO SLOW. :):

Here in the great state of Indiana, if you have your LTCH you can
    carry however you would like.

I carry either a revolver or a 1911. Revolver full cylinder.
1911 chambered, cocked and locked - condition 1.

I think you will find the majority carry chambered and on safe. YMMV.
Do what you are comfortable with and have practiced for.

If you have your LTCH ( License To Carry Handgun) you can carry a handgun any way you want, I personally carry loaded, without the LTCH you can not carry.

Check out the FAQ's, they will answer a lot of your questions.

    Indy urban west.
Full mag. and one in the chamber and as a ISP trooper friend told me," This is Indiana, I don't care if you duct tape it to your forehead when you carry"! :D

I carry fully loaded with one in the chamber in my M&P40c, no safety (and to my surprize, my gun hasn't decided to start killing everyone on its own)

i put one in the chamber and then eject the magazine. i dont need the extra weight.
I do this also, but not because of the extra weight. I figger when a bad guy jumps me, I'll drop my gun out of fear and run like hell, and when I drop it, it will go off and kill the bad guy, and if it don't, he won't be able to pick it up and shoot at me wif it, cause it only had the one in the pipe. Can you imagine the frustration that thug will feel.:rockwoot:

I always carry with one chambered and a full magazine. The way I see it, you may need those precious few seconds it would take to cycle your slide (if you don't carry a revolver of course) to chamber a round if you don't carry with one in the chamber. :twocents:

I've always been told that you want your weapon to be ready to engage the target with either hand and with the least amount of time between drawing and firing - that said, I carry with a full mag and one in the chamber. Not saying I can shoot worth a darn left-handed but I think I've got a better chance to pull the trigger left handed than rack the slide with one hand.
