Never was a huge fan, but I did like The Gambler.

I think the first song of his that I remember was Ruby. I can still remember hearing it on the little transistor radio I'd stick up in the apple tree while I was raking up apples as a kid (before cutting the grass).


And then of course there was that Nascar song... "You picked a fine time to leave me, loose wheel."

Another part of my childhood dies. Lots of good memories with Kenny Roger's and Dolly Parton music in it. Among many others of coarse. He was a real big deal.
