Blaming the right to bond for the disorder of Indianapolis is a desperate distraction by LE brass.

If you want to blame one person in LE it seems to be Rick Mears who is not: 1) asking courts to increase bonds, 2) giving the police zero leadership and setting up TTP/SOPs when recidivists are arrested.

Mears has a law firm of lawyers JUST for screening. Make a few of them POCs for cops when they have questions about arresting people on bond, parole, probation. This is an easy fix and yet they are blaming others. Disheartening.

I think most of us here in Marion County know that Rick "I-never-met-a-criminal-I-didn't-want-back-on-the-street-ASAP" Mears bears most of the responsibility for these repeat offenders.

Isn't this the bond schedule for Marion County on a 5?

EDIT: Apparently bond schedule on a 5 is $750 to bail bondsman.

So, bond is 3 times higher and we are complaining about . . . what? That it is too high?

Wait, the Prosecuting Attorney dismissed the Crim Reck and Tyler is being held without bond on a MR? And we are angry that bond is too low on dismissed case but even if he had a billion dollars he could not get out of jail. What in the Richard FOP86 Snyder is a going on here?
I wasn't talking about the bond, I was talking about the charge. Your buddy Ryan Mears is well known for not charging or under-charging.

The Crim Reck was dismissed. He is being held without bond on a Murder.

This is Mears's doing. Mears is as much a buddy as Harrington.

Lots of murder, drive by shootings, and mayhem in Indy this week. Mithoffer Road seems to be a perpetual hotspot and the only response by IMPD is oh, we well increase patrols. Same old BS! Tell IMPD to put more cops out on the streets “walking the beat” like the old days. Impose “stop and frisk” in problem areas. Oh, that’s right: the bleeding heart liberals will start screaming profiling and all the usual democrat libtard arguments. The problem is that these people don’t want to see or hear the truth. :twocents:!

I'm not liberal, and yet I think stop and frisk is a 4th amendment violation.
I thought conservative was supposed to be pro constitution

Didn't he win the election recently?

Not sure about "most of us".
Not directly. He just happens to be a dem so when they pulled the party lever, he came along for the ride.
Dont believe me? Convince him to run again as an independent. If he is so beloved he will get re-elected again.

That's because it's not called stood and frisk. It's called stop, QUESTION, and frisk. Why do you leave that part out?
