A notice that I got to day from the NMLRA,said that laws are already being posed to make Federal background checks on Blackpowder"no matter the amount"-----this would be the first step on restricting all components.

    Yup....
Black and smokeless powder will become the next "evil things" that need to be controlled/eliminated.
Never mind that anyone can make a bomb out of chemicals found under the kitchen sink or in the bathroom cupboard.

Under what authority as blackpowder (up to 50LBs of BP for small arms) is exempted.

The only thing I can think of disarming a public in times like these would be the desire for the left to create more victims.

Well, I AGREE with scumbag Pelosi on one thing: "... but it's going to energize the effort."

Those who believe in and have sworn to uphold the Constitution, including the Second Amendment ARE now energized, Pelosi.

The push for freedom has just begun, Nancy. You and your ilk ARE on the way out.

We have just won a battle but we are in a war that will go on forever. If you have kids or know young shooters get them prepared for the long hard fight. Get as many new shooters to the range as you possibly can and invest your time in the future shooters whenever you can.

Even the friendly looking Etch-a-Sketch can be used as material for a destructive compound.

Interesting conflict on the gun-banner side now.

First of all, their argument that the framers could NOT have imagined civilians having access to "powerful weapons-of-war" when they wrote the 2A.

Now an arms item that would ABSOLUTELY be a part of the "arms" that the framers considered, black power, state-of-the-art in late 1700's, needs to be regulated and restricted.

    Typical liberal-elitist double-talk!

Frankly I think they continue to underestimate their opposition.

They may also be whistling past the graveyard with respect to the 2014 elections. Bump off a few red state Dems, Barry and Nancy. See what you get in their place...

Liberals trying to put a positive spin on a bad situation for them. They just can't take no for an answer, if anything Obama's comments last night hurt their cause more than anything else. Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Fienstien and Ried spent a lot of their political capitol trying to push this through and lost. The comments and actions after the defeat cost them some more capital.

Keep the pressure up, write our Senators and thank them for standing up what was right, let them know that you will support them as long as they support us. Keep an eye out for such BS legislation like that being proposed by Frank Lautenberg, (not a surprise that that a Dem would try to capitalize on a tragedy without knowing the facts) and let them know we are not going to vote for anyone that would support such knee jerk reactions. Above all stay vigilant.
