The singer's website announced Saturday that Buffett passed away on Friday, Sept. 1.

I saw him a couple of times back in the late 80s thru early 90s, it was always a fun time. Rest easy Jimmy.

I was at a small pub in central Florida and he walks in, sits down with us because we were drinking Beck's beer. We talked and drank for hours. He was that kind of guy.

I will miss him.
