This is one of my most interesting pieces. Faintly marked 1944 Izzy M44. Numbers matching, non-imported marked. By numbers matching, it is NOT force matched. It is a low 3 digit serial number that all match. No line out and a restamp new number. It is WELL worn but no rust. The interesting part is at the muzzle. Someone took the bayonet lug off. They removed the front sight and removed the entire sleeve the lug was a part of. That is not easy to do. The finish wear is even in that area so that tells me this was done a LONG time ago. Fantastic piece. Again, a very likely candidate as a bring back. $500 $450 $400 Indianapolis area. SOLD
