My old p.d. stayed the course with 40. Probably had a lot to do with the quartermaster that ordered dookie loads of Black Hills ammo! We practiced with what we carried - JHP. I do miss the 1911s we USED to carry!
    I'm okay with .40 S&W...still have a bunch of it...still have a .40 in the carry corral!
I dug my 1911 Commander out last night and was showing my youngest son...
He liked the way it held and pointed, said it felt 'natural'...but, unfortunately, we didn't get to shoot it!
He still couldn't believe the 1911 was a 'standard' sidearm, along with revolvers and many S&W's through the '80's and into the early '90's...including 2 World Wars, Korea, and Vietnam, not to mention numerous law enforcement agencies!!

FYI: Jenkins doesn't sell firearms to the general public. You've got to be a qualified first responder. Basically eligible for the Glock Blue Label pricing.

There was a Veterans also program before, I don’t know if it’s still in use this year, but it lets Military and Veterans purchase blue label Glocks, call them.
They also do their Glock Days program at their Ft. Wayne location the day before or after Indy if that’s closer for anyone. Again call them.

PS anybody in Ft. Wayne does that store have any used Glocks for sale too?

Glock Days is a sales event, a Glock rep and Armorer is there to install purchased night sights, exam any Glock brought in, replace any worn parts as needed, and usually an IMPD Armorer is there too, to help out.
Glock swag bags, polo shirts with Glock purchase one year , and a sweepstakes drawing for one $398.30 or below Blue Label Glock .
    (I won in (2019)

Maybe pizza and maybe a burger and dog cookout, you never know.

Reborn I’m at the Indy VA on the northwest side, and was going to message you about the Gen-4…
Oh well too late now, but thanks for offering a nice one for sale at a decent price.
See you at Glock Days, good luck on your hand surgery.

I'm going to try to attend this year. As a U.S.A.F. veteran, I'll investigate a purchase of a Blue Label Glock.

I'd like to find a $300 G17 gen 3 just for the complete slide, sell the frame and buy a GreyGhost frame and use all the glock parts in the frame.

Stopped by today after coming from the VA, no $300 G-17’s in the case, just Gen 3/4 G-22’s mostly Gen 4’s, all G-27’s Gen 4, a Gen 3 G-22 I think he said these pistols were Greenwood PD, maybe he said Greenfield PD, I know he didn’t say Greencastle…ha too many Green something’s in Indiana.

Here is your pic of what’s left:
