My wifes grandfather who is a gunsmith has a large safe FULL of varieties of ammo and was kind enough to give me a few boxes of 9mm for my recent new purchase. After I got home I was checking it out and noticed this. Is this just dirt or is it corrosion of some sort? Any help would be appreciated! As you can see....its old.

WCC is Winchester and there is a date stamp, plus sealant, what you have is probably old Nato ball ammo. Decent ammo. My only gripe is that some that we at the range recently fired (various dates) were slower in velocity than what Nato ball is stated to be (125gr FMJ going 1250 fps). We only got about 1190-1150, from my Beretta (5" barrel). Was accurate though...
