Will silver be useful in a SHTF situation?
Possibly. Predicting the future ain't my strong suit. But past performance (which is a light to the stern) shows it retaining value over time.
Initially, food and clean water and meds and ammo will have priority. But as situations stabilize, the ease of transport, retention of value and difficulty of faking will make PMs more attractive for trade.
And silver is still good for it's anti-bacterial and electrical conductance properties if nothing else.

I bought 50 oz last week at 22 and some change of the Apollo 11 rounds and it started going up the next day. When I got my order from golden state their verfied paper showed 52.43oz. I did also splurge on 200oz of copper rounds just for S's & G's.
