What is a good/cheap auto insurer for Indianapolis?

I moved from Lafayette to Indianapolis and my Progressive Auto Insurance Skyrocketed. It's around $800 for 6 months.

I've had good old State Farm for-freakin'-ever and they cover every-freakin'-thing I have. I was carrying the insurance on my daughter's car until recently. We used my Indy address though she lives in Bloomington. She decided she would take over the premiums a couple of months ago. She shopped Progressive, Esurance, and a couple others before she came to the realization that State Farm was cheaper than anybody else. The premium went up slightly when the address changed to Bloomington but she couldn't find comparable coverage for less.

I know it's not Indy, but we use an independent agency called Schultheis Insurance. They can find policies from a lot of different insurance companies. We saved big $$$ over State Farm. We've had one claim on the house and one on the car and it's been handled professionally.

I have been using State Farm for years now. Much cheaper than Geico for us and they have always treated me well. Got a new roof out of them after a hail storm. New front end when my brother in law backed over my car with his truck. Can't complain.

Premiums are only a SMALL part of one's decision on auto Insurance.

As far as I am concerned State Farm beats all others hands down for their ease and effciency in Claims handling. :yesway:

I deal with auto insurance companies every day.
