I assume that the ISP troopers will have to qualify with the new 365s. Does anyone know what the qualification course is? I wonder how accurate the 365 is at a distance.

Most departments don't issue back-up guns at all. ISP is one of the few that do.Do departments typically have a back up pistol that is a different firing system (striker vs. DA/SA) and different caliber (9mm vs. .45 app)?
ISP moved to the Sig P227 several years back.

Yes but heard they only use 10-round mags for P227 not the 14 round extended due to ejection irregularities...14+1 in .45 would be a helluva first response.
Nice to see them all finally get backup guns...issued...and not have to PROVIDE their own. So, why don't they all have issued ARs with optics yet? Some do but not all, why not? Why don't they have Level IV body armor issued yet? We need to outfit our finest with the finest, especially with the threats they could face every single day!
Very good point. As I69 nears completion, it will become more of a conduit for north bound drug routes and ISP could see some additional traffic. They should be well equipped to handle anything they come up against.
