We have a swamp here in Indy, too. The republicans in the state keep doing what they want because we let them. I voted for Rainwater because I didn’t want that turd Holcomb back in there, but people just keep doing the same thing over and over. I consider myself a conservative libertarian because I don’t want big government. Todd Young is also a floater that needs to be flushed out.

I don’t know about you all, but I needed to read this before this weekend so I can sleep peacefully tonight.

    The RINO won’t vote Trump?

    Who even asked?

I long ago came to the conclusion that Young's ONLY use is to act as a Republican place holder to add one more Republican to the Senate Count of Republicans in a closely divided Senate.
Other than that, Young's a disgrace to the Party.
Young is also the lowest rated Republican (F 52%) in the Indiana Congressional delegation according to Conservative Review.

We the people are republicans. We have a bunch of people here that look at the general election ballot about a month out and start complaining. A vote for Rainwater accomplished nothing. If all those complaining would recruit, work for, fund, and elect good conservatives in the primaries then do it again in the general we could make serious gains. Soros knows what it takes and he provides it to win. Do we want to win as badly as he does? I don’t see it.

This explains how red states get RINO’s…

Another similar article from meatheads comments on Monday.

He's not even a "principled’ conservative".
He can't even vote with the constitution 60% of the time. He loves to spend everyone else's money. Votes against the 2nd Amendment and the 4th as well.

Remember if Danny runs against Todd Young next time please help him get in the primary at least. If he doesn't find someone and support them to get in the primary.

I think every vote makes a difference and respectfully disagree. It takes courage to make a change and I tried, but not enough people took the opportunity. Indiana had an alternative that wasn’t a liberal and people just keep casting votes for the Republican just because they are afraid of the alternative. I don’t want that feeling of helplessness, but in all seriousness, Mike, what can we do differently? Who holds the party accountable? How do we purge the purple out of the party? I’m just as frustrated as everyone else and really would like to know how we can make changes. I totally agree with your view on the good candidates, but will the establishment allow them in if they don’t “kiss the ring” of the party? So frustrating.

The reality is, when it comes to the Governor, US Senators and Representatives, the election winners will be Republicans or Democrats.
Though in some more local elected offices, there's a change a 3rd party candidate could win.

HOW do we purge the purple from the Republican party?
The ONLY way is to Primary out the RINOs by getting out the Primary vote.
Blowing off the upcoming Primary on May 7th, then whining about the lousy candidates at Fall election time makes no rational sense.

And the way to make the party more accountable is to take over the party from within by nominating good candidates that will over time shift the party leadership in the right direction.

I've actually tried to recruit people to run and they wanted no part of it. If the RNC doesn't approve, the candidate will never see the light of day. Kinda like the debates, if you don't score high enough you won't get on stage. The whole system is rigged. I'm willing to help just don't know how. I'm a terrible loser and want to win but can't see a good ending.

Todd Young. With that I will tell you there is a ex CIA guy talking in interviews on you tube. Long hair guy, he can only say so much. But says the China spy network is thriving here. Even said that China has a secret police force here!

Says China use sex to recruit and blackmail anyone they want. So take a certain Senator and say he like to look at gay porn, or anything else. And China you better believe has everyone’s info then used that against you. They got you.

They probably have all the democrats and a big part of republicans. What if they probably already have most of the people running the Indiana GOP? It’s everywhere, the best people get power and their own sins get turned against them.

This CIA guy said more and more people are being caught helping China. And for everyone caught there is at least 10 that don’t. Those are the ones taking $$$. Most of the blackmail is almost always about sex.

The Indiana GOP will never agree to this.
Do you see what you are saying? Just by your phrasing you are saying you are not a part of the “Indiana GOP”. So just who are the people that “will never agree to this”? I know many of them personally, so I will tell you who they are.

They go to precinct meetings regularly.

They go to county meetings regularly.

They go to Lincoln day meetings.

    They speak to candidates regularly.

They host candidates in their homes for others to meet.

They volunteer to work for candidates.

    They fund candidates.

They get out the votes for candidates.

    And much more.

Do my fellow INGO’ers do any of that? Even some of that? I doubt it, but I sure hear lots of complaining about those that outwork us.

Many here of lament that things have not gotten bad enough for folks to turn back to a more conservative approach but I suspect the truth is that it has not gotten bad enough for many conservatives to get off their collective duffs and work like those they complain about.

It would be better if more “conservatives” got involved. But that most don’t doesn’t mean we have to keep voting for the turd that the republican party has given us. We reserve the right to ***** and complain.

I will not vote for this man when he comes up for re-election. I will either vote for the Libertarian or leave that one blank.

This is scary and true by my evaluation of available evidence.
