I'd like the memory of me to be a
    happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles
    when day is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering
    softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times
    and bright sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve
    to dry before the sun,
of happy memories that I leave
    when my life is done.

    Psalm 34:4

A psalm that spoke to her:
    I Sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.

My aunt passed away after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She retired from the county hospital telephone switchboard after 25 years of service. She was a strong woman, a deeply religious woman, and a very close and loved family member. She left this Earth with family by her side and ready to meet the Lord, unafraid. She will be missed very much. Rest In Peace.

She was buried at noon today right next to my mother parents whom I also miss very very much. Pete and Mary Perucca, 1917/1916-2000/2002 respectively. God rest their souls. They are sorely missed.

While I am not a Christian, the Bible is full of beautiful phrases and psalms.

Rest in peace, for what I am certain is a wonderful woman and a beacon to us all!

Tell us more about her? What did she use to do? Where was she raised?

My condolences to you and your family, Ryan. I know this is a difficult time for all of you.

    Blessings,Bill

Thanks for the kind words. I just hope to honor her in some small way with the thread. I just posted what was on her card that was handed out at the funeral.

Tell us more about her? What did she use to do? Where was she raised?

She used to work for the switchboard at the Hospital. Can't for the life of me think of the name. I hate hospitals anyway! She was raised in Cynthiana/Mt. Vernon/Vincennes/Bicknell. Graduated North Posey HS in '64. She lived in Bicknell, IN until Tuesday for most of her life. She was married to my Uncle Don, had a daughter, Kiley, who in turn has a daughter, Livie.

Thank you all for the kind words. Prayers have been passed along.

Sounds like you have a strong bloodline from good people running through your veins.

I know, right? What happened to ME?!?! :p

I'm also sorry if I've been an ass lately. Stress over the last couple months has gotten intense around my home and I tend to vent here and my smart mouth gets me in trouble. So I apologize for anyone I offended and what not.

No need to apologize. We are all prone to ranting at times when the frustration becomes too much.

My condolences to you and your family. But know that she will always be with you in spirit and God willing, the day will come again when all of your family will be together once more.

My condolences, buddy. I'm sorry to hear about your aunt's passing. It's not easy, but time will reduce the sorrow and leave just the fond memories.
