Wasn't Drury wrong about what went to SCOTUS this week?

I thought it was the SAFE Act that got sent directly to them without going through the proper channels, not the 2nd Circuit's decision on may issue.

Either way, Bost set himself up. That's exactly what we don't need.

So why would pro-gun legislators in Ill vote for anything less than a perfect bill on concealed carry?

The sponsor of the shall-issue bill (the good one) that got voted down this week was cautioning about the "Wild West" that would ensue should Constitutional Carry kick in. This is Illinois we're talking about. You would think the pro-carry crowd would use the specter of Con. Carry as the "blackmail" to getting a good carry bill, but they're only SLIGHTLY less scared of Con. Carry that the anti's in IL are.

The "bad" may-carry bill with home-rule exceptions galore went down in utter flames.

    Leftist lessons learned: zero

They'll never swallow their pride long enough to get a shall-issue bill with state-wide uniformity before June 9. Constitutional Carry is as good as implemented.
