I only pocket carry mine. I so opted for hammerless, so it won't not catch on anything and it's one less place for lint and fuzz to wander in to. It comes at a price of being a DA only. I am fine with that. The original springs had the gun at probably a 13-14 lb trigger. I put a reduced weight hammer and rebound spring kit in mine. It now around a 7-8 lb pull. I can live with that too.

Well partly thanks to this thread and my own wants I picked up a shiny new 642-2 this morning! What a dandy little piece, can't wait to try it out and throw it into the carry holster. Trigger isn't bad, feels good, and dry fire felt smooth.

I use the LCR as well and like it. It is a bit tricky to get used to at first but it is nice. Keep in mind it is a snubby so accuracy will be less than a pocket semi.

With today's technology you can now have a snubbie if you so wish. I'm not sure your spouse will like it though.

Nope. Snubbies are mechanically quite accurate. Take a pocket auto and measure from the front of the chamber to the muzzle and tell us how much is left. so barrel length is not the issue. Most snubs have double action triggers are small sights making them harder to shoot, not less accurate.
