Headed home yesterday after a day of hugging a red oak, fighting artic conditions, and knowing global warming is a myth akin to the tooth fairy I stopped to dine in Burlington, Indiana. While my son-in-law and I sat as a captive audience in Pizza King; it was if there was no place in the dining area one could sit without the large screen TV peering at you. It was for that reason we were thankful that we were able to down our meal without seeing it again prior to our departure. Bad food, you might ask? No the food was great it was scene on TV that was tough to cope with.

As you recall from a little over four years ago many of the Hollywood employees ,aka actors, stated if George Bush was elected they would leave the country. I watched in amazement as guys like Al Baldwin, Shawn Penn and their leftie liberal buds salivated over a possible acting award they were up for. I mean didn't they say they were leaving, going south, out of here, exit stage left ? Then why are they still here working in this terrible country. I figured they might well be on their way to making movies under the shadow of that little dictator who rules the oil laden Latin American country just south of the equator. I's sure the movie industry could bring the cost of a theater ticket as well as consessions down if they export the jobs to the little dictator's country, Mexico, China, or perhaps even Iran. Lots of other industries have found it proftitalbe why not the movie industry?
After all these guys more or less said they were leaving as they were more than will to ply their trade somewhere else. On the other hand maybe they just figured it was better here. Here they can add lib the script without fear of being shot. Now in the aforementioned countries who knows. I guess they deducted the United States under Bush's leadership wasn't so bad after all.

Did anyone hear of a conservation stating they would leave if Obama was elected? Neither did I. Could it be we true conservatives know the greatest country on the planet is the best place to live regardless of who the leader is? Could be, true conservatives know there is something worth fighting for in the United States and they are willing to stand by and work toward that effort. Finally could it be that true conservatives leave to go about their daily routine clothed in the God given armor of trust, honesty, integrity, charity, and compassion. These are the real men and women whose word you can trust. They are not actors.

America...love it or leave it. Alec, Shawn....and your liberal Hollywood buds. Stick to acting and leave the rest of us alone. If you were trully men of your word you'd be working for a studio in some socialist country the other side of the Atlantic getting paid in chickens and goats for your talents.

    "Amen," shouted the choir!

Have you stopped to think how differently our elections would go if "entertainers" weren't allowed to spout their political views? Our society hangs on their every word.

Sorry 96harley, you lost me when you said you stopped to eat in Burlington but didn't go to the Dinner Bell....

The rest of it I have pondered a few times myself. They keep promising to leave but never do... reminds a guy of cockroaches.

That's what they are good at, acting like they are gonna leave the country but who really does?

You were in Burlington and didn't eat at the Dinner Bell. Or cross the street and catch dessert at Scoops.

You sir need to review your Priorities in this life!

    96harley,
I live in this neck of the woods.
The Dinner Bell is WELL WORTH the stop. Easily the best restaurant in 30 miles. Everything you find on the menu is worth trying.
Scoops is just south of the gas station (Marathon I think). It is a little ice cream/ pizza joint. Service the way it should be down. I think Scoops closes on the 14th of December for the season though.
