Same here... 10rnds for bench, 20 for bench or woods. Back-in-the-day, we even used Magpul gen 2 20 rnds over gen 3 because the Gen 3 20's were longer. :patriot:

I never understood why the aftermarket 20s were slightly curved. The USGI 20 rounders I have are box shaped, and work pretty good. Though I keep to M193

I have some ancient Colt 20 round mags from years ago. I believe I have had more bad Magpul‘s than any other brand.

IMO a standard GI mag is the best. Hexmag sent me 20 30 round mags to test and hand out. I gave out several at RR events all good reports?

The Lancer L5AWM mags have really impressed me. Metal where it counts, see through good polymer elsewhere (quickly see whats in the mag, at least on those models that are see thru). Available in 5 10 20 and 30.

    N.W. Disillusionment
For what it's worth.....I've got a crap-ton of 30 rd Hexmags (over 100) and, when new, the last two rounds require vigorous manipulation to join the rest of the crowd, if you're loading with a thumb and not a loader. This goes away after about the 20th loading as the spring achieves a sort of equilibrium. The springs are very strong (I believe that's a good thing) and I haven't detected any slackening of strength in any of them, after this initial "break in". They all run flawlessly through a variety of rifles, both DI and piston.
In my opinion, they're every bit as good as Magpul's.
