That was the headline got today, along with that purty Hi Point! The people carrying Hi Points probably aren't paying for a LTCH anyway!

One of the oppositions to Constitutional Carry, was Police Dept. funding for training.
After it was discussed in Summer Session, Rep. Lucas worked to remove that obstacle.
It was one way he was able to get the 5 year license to have no fee.
And that was his first step to easing into CC.

Alert!! The link below is is to the Public Policy Committee. HB 1369 is up again in committee 1130 on 15 Feb (Presidents Day for those of you who get that Holiday.) I look for it to be amend and vote since the testimony was last Wednesday and it was getting late by the time all the testimony was done.

There is a "watch live" button when you open the 15 Feb drop-down thingee.

Cross-posted to the 2021 Legislative Session thread.

Man, the anti-civil rights lobby's arguments are weak.
That's OK, they gave me at least two more supporting points for when it gets up for hearing in the Senate.

Try to make it down here for the next hearing Kirk. I can't believe I'm saying this but we could always use another lawyer :lmfao:

I want to give the real world impact of Pinner on police interactions.

They do not understand how Pinner has completely undermined the opposition to 1369. I want to run that home.

Pinner was a devastating case to the antis, especially the police attempted arguments.

Pinner was so devastating that is why they made the false police reports in May 2017 about me when I posted about it.

    Where's the bacon?
You should ask Ed how many licenses are held by suspects arrested for allegedly contributing to making last year the most violent on record. I'm guessing it's somewhere approaching zero.
That or ask him when is a good time to support it.

lite kind of like when this gun is too big and that gun is too small.... ok, baby bear, which one is jussssst right?

sure hope it's not in the form of more taxes and/or roadblocks to exercising our rights. Police shouldn't have been getting money from LTCH in the first place...
    THIS.

And were they really? If so, ugh. Those fees should have gone to the cost to administrate the license; it should have been a net zero.

I'm not a fan of all these hidden fees in govt.
