I really have been hoping that S&W would make a L frame in 10mm and yes, I know S&W makes the model 610 N frame but it really seems bigger than nessasary and if Ruger can do it then S&W ought to be able to also but I'm not holding my breath so in the meantime a Ruger will have to do.

None of the distributors Ruger recommends have had any and Ruger claims that they are still making them, So where are they?

Here's a used one. Saw three on GB. Pretty salty prices, but isn't everything right now. It should last forever though.

I’ve had several 610s and still own one with a 5” barrel as it seemed to be the best balanced for me. I wish I had the others I’ve owned but that’s another story altogether. I’ve handled the Ruger and was impressed with how it felt and balanced, especially since I’m not a fan of most Ruger double action wheel guns. I like the Blackhawk line up and the smaller SP101s but thought the Security Six, Service Six and GP100 were all sorta “clunky” for lack of a better descriptor. The new GP100 Match Champion feels like a totally different gun to me. The grip feels great, whereas the 610 is too small IMO, and I love the improved sights. Premier Arms in Brownsburg had one but that was a year or so ago. I’d like to shoot the two side by side and compare them closer if you ever come up with one. I have some 10mm and plenty of moon clips!

This one on Gun Broker has all of the accessories you could ever want but I see it going over $1000.00.

I know how to win it but not sure I want it that bad but it might be fun to run up the price.

It's at $930.00 at last glance plus $70.00 tax plus $30.00 shipping and $25.00 ffl fee, that puts it at $1055.00. it might be interesting to price up all the accessories at retail and see what it's really worth.

Well I added up all of the items at retail price and I didn't get hurt.
The moon clips alone are out of this world price wise, I saw a pack of 3 for $80.00 boy you wouldn't want to lose any of those and the tools to load and unload the moon clips are really pricey too but it is a fine high quality firearm and I'm very glad I was able to find one.
It wasn't just the firearm, it came with all of the things you might want to go with it, so I'm happy.

I'm considering one in 357. I already have 10mm in 1911s, but no 357s, except the lever actions.

How's the trigger feel on the Match Champion?

    .
I don't know how the trigger feels yet, I just won the auction Sunday and I sent the cashier check and info out yesterday so it will probably be a couple of weeks before I receive it.
I already have the Colt, Delta Elite and the S&W, 1006, very fine guns but I wanted a revolver in 10mm also but the S&W, model 610 N frame is larger than I wanted and they don't make an L frame in 10mm so that only left the Ruger, GP-100 Match Champion which by all reports is a superb handgun.
So I'll give a report on the Ruger in a few weeks and we'll see if it was worth it.

Premier Arms posted that they had a 10mm Ruger GP100 just today. Didn't say that it was Match Champion. In case anyone else was looking. Realize the OP already has his on the way.

Wow, I didn't know they were making the GP in 10mm. It should be able to shoot .40 S&W too, that's a bonus. I'll have to keep an eye for one.

They are made of unobtainum, very hard to find.
Mine is the Match Champion, I don't know if they make the standard GP-100 in 10mm or not.

Well here it is, I picked it up Friday.
They make a thicker moon clip (.050")
    to use with 40 S&W but it's $79.95 FOR ONE!!!!!!!! I don't think I'll be getting one.

Anyway thanks and koodoos to mmpsteve who alerted me to it.

The most expensive moonclips I'm aware of are Stainless steel that are cut on a wire EDM. They are $80 per package of 10.

I have a match champion in .357 and it is a nice gun. It was my first Ruger revolver and I was pleasantly surprised with it. Fun gun to shoot and has worked flawlessly for me. I hope yours is, too.
