    Guys,

If you want a new gun safe for Christmas, Lowes has one heck of a deal right now. Their largest Sentry safe is on clearance for 50 percent off. Its $478 now. I think its 24 cu feet in size. That's a steal! No pun intended.

Not sure if Brownsburg still has it but it was there. It is the floor model. Ashylarry will know more.

The brownsburg store is the only one in the region that has one left and it is the display. That is if we still have it. It was there as of Friday when I left.

It was the biggest one we had, 24.x cu. ft. and is one hell of a deal. If you are interested call the store at 317-456-800. you can buy it over the phone or at least tell them to hold it.

Thanks for posting the link. I like the fact that it is rated for 1400 degrees for 30 min instead of the 1200 that most safes are. I paid close to this for a Snapon at Dicks and it didn't have the digital lock. This one alos has a better layout on the inside.

Send Ashylarry a pm. I'm pretty sure if it's still there Monday morning he can hold it for you. Or I can go get it now for you and tack on 10, no 15%.

Well I stopped by there earlier, around 12:30, and it was no longer on the floor. I hope you got a call out in time to hold it. It's a bitchin safe. I would have gotten it if I had the money.

Yea, I called the Brownsburg Lowe's around 11:00 this AM to see about it and the guy in hardware didn't no anything about this safe but told me that they were out of the smaller size safes also. He actually went and looked for the big one but came back and told me he couldn't find it and said that he didn't think they ever had one that big. Not much help.

Note to all who want a gun safe:
Take a look at Tractor Supply. They carry Cannon brand safes at prices that seem to be about 1/2 of what you see in catalogs and the big chains.

Sorry to be a little OT but, when did Brownsburg get a Lowe's? I used to live there (about 3.5 years ago), and get back from time to time, but haven't seen it.

To bring it back a little closer to topic...
Sam's Club has decent safes (Winchester branded, not sure who makes 'em) for between $600 and $700. 21 gun, fire rated, digital keypad, etc.

After reading this post I checked the Lowes in Franklin tonite and they had 2 differant styles of gun-safes on the floor. Both were a medium size safe but were heavy construction and the doors on both were 4 pin style. They seemed to be of good quality and priced around the $300 to $350 range which I thought was a real good price for the quality.
