Good. Once every company closes their doors and citizens have nowhere to shop, eat, gather and all that, hopefully they'll pressure the local government to pull their heads out of their butts and crack down on crime. I won't hold my breath though.

Preferably the city collapses into an unrecoverable pile

The loss of tax revenue from these businesses should be enough for the local government to do something.

“Take a Trafalgar poll conducted in February 2023 among 1,000-plus likely voters. Nearly 80 percent, whether left, right, or center, said they were more likely to do business with a company that stayed politically neutral or tolerated the many viewpoints of employees and customers.”

“Further evidence that going woke erodes business success comes from an analysis done by 2nd Vote Value Investments on large-cap and mid-cap companies measuring their level of engagement on social and political issues against their return on investment.”

“The group rated companies on a scale from most liberal to most conservative across six issues, including the environment, education, abortion, Second Amendment rights, other constitutional freedoms, and support for a safe civil society.”

“The analysis showed that neutral companies, which took no political or social stances, outperformed the S&P 500 and the Russell 1000 index, which both went down during the last half of 2021 through early 2023, falling 1.8 percent and 3.2 percent respectively. Neutral companies, however, gained 2.9 percent in the same period.”

Yep, why alienate people based on something your company has nothing to do with? That's bad business.

These companies are scared :poop:less of being chastised on social media. They are more afraid of Facebook, Twitter and reddit than they are of losing their customer base.

To give them credit, it's a hard balance to keep everyone happy. When you are faced with threats from groups and even random basement dwellers threatening to "out" a company as racists or Nazi's for not making public woke proclamation.

At best they want a false facade that gives the appearance of being politically neutral. The only way to be sure is for known left wing corps to be nuked from orbit. Their true cause can never be trusted going forward.

I think that may be backwards. “They want a false facade that gives the appearance of being politically lefty.”

The decades long Fort Wayne summer festival lost it’s major sponsor this week, it’s executive director and two board members resigned. Scuttlebutt is the insistence of some board members to include a Drag Show in this community family friendly event was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

    Go Woke, Go Broke.

As a resident of Fort Wayne, I heartily approve.
