    louder? yes.
    flash an issue? no
EDC issue for close quarter shooting? no

G19C was my carry gun for years before I switched to Sig P365X Macro
How do the two compare as far as the porting/compensation? I am currently carrying a macro but I seem to shoot my glocks better.

My friend, Lee Weems (First Person Safety and a Range-Master and Handguns Combative Instructor), calls them “velocity reducers” he he heh
When you think about it...you would be releasing internal pressure prior to the bullet leaving the end of the barrel, reducing overall 'launch' pressure, resulting in the decreasing of maximum potential velocity, before the bullet even exits the barrel.
Personally, if they made that big of a difference, outside of competition, there would be a lot more of them around...just my $0.02 worth.

Back when I was in LE(just after they quit issuing caveman clubs and rocks) magnaported pistols and "c" pistols were NOT allowed as a duty weapon...the flash from the port could put your partners eye out...probably some justification...
