Took my grandsons to the gym with me yesterday. 15 and 12 years old, both run cross country and play baseball/basketball. Wow!! Impressed them with my strength lifting weights but they trashed me at cardio!!Yep that's what happens you get out get older metabolism slows and that appetite is still there. I had to work hard on not eating like that for years. I think it's something that is stuck in your brain and your body thinks it still needs all that to operate on. I've been running on 200 grams of carbs a day or less depending on how active I am that day. With a minimum of 25 grams of fiber. According to my dietitian 1 gram of fiber per 15 grams of carbs. Higher fiber is better, but no less than 1 gram per 15 carbs. Makes it pretty easy to make meals going by that.
