    The Federal government has actually been pushing this type of system for several years. Here's an article from 2006 discussing a similar program in a New Jersey school district that was funded with grant money from the U.S. Justice Department. I wouldn't be surprised if this system was also being set up with Federal grant money.

    These types of programs get young citizens used to the concept of being tracked constantly and treated like a parcel in the mail. Several eye scans a day will acclimate them to total surveillance society. And when this becomes the norm, something even more intrusive will then be feasible.

    Wait..do they scan the iris or the pupil? Or do they only scan students named Iris's pupils? I thought it was a retina scan anyway.....:dunno:

    Level of security? Even if they believe our "benevolent" government would never use it against us, don't they read the stories everyday where someone hacks information. Or the govt. misplaces data.
