I had an offer to be introduced to him and peruse his collection once but never got around to collecting it. Wish I had now, he apparently had some very interesting relics related to his atomic work.

Well, if he took them they need to be returned.

I thought I heard on WTHR that he actually called the authorities himself. Not sure why. Apparently some of his artifacts are actually human remains (a skull with an arrowhead lodged in it was mentioned) and were possibly obtained illegally. Not that he stole them, just that they may have been illegal for him to obtain them at all. Doesn't sound like he was doing anything nefarious, other than running afoul of some regulations.

One comment on WTHR's Facebook page said, "Apparently it's only okay for the U.S. government to steal from Native Americans."

What you are seeing is theft from an old guy with no family.

Maybe he has some Sumerian tablets hidden away in his collection.

Id like to have some of my income tax money returned to me, after all, it was taken illegally... Oh wait, thats right, they MADE a new law, in order to do that. Hmmm.....

Maybe he has some Sumerian tablets hidden away in his collection.

I think the issue here is probably Native American artifacts. Lady they interviewed mentioned something about a complete skeleton.
