Anyone have a recommendation for a good engraver in NWI? I am going to be SBR'ing an M92 AK and will need engraving done. Since it's a pistol, and I'm not sure if I'm going to bother to convert it into a rifle with a perm brake until my stamp comes back, I don't want to have to ship it, as a handgun will cost me a butt ton to ship, or I'll have to have an FFL do it for me. Any suggestions for someone within an hour or two of I-65 and RT 30?

I tried a search, but came up empty.

The closest place I know of is ZR Tactical Solutions in Lafayette. I don't have any experience with them, though.

There is a guy in Portage area I think he does this. I just used him for an FFL transfer and we were talking machining he mentioned something along this line. his company name is Indiana Arsenal I found him on gunbroker FFL list.

I went with the recommendation of Laser Scribe in Indy. It was recommended in another thread here on INGO. I had to go to Indy anyway for a VA appointment... I just dropped it off before. Next time down, I went and picked it up when I was done. It was done in a couple days, I just didn't want to make a separate trip down to Indy. They did outstanding work. I didn't want to ship mine either, having just waited 8 months for my stamp for it.

I've used Scotty's Dynamics in Michigan City. He's glad to engrave anything and is reasonable. I think it's around $25 or so.

I think an AK pistol (the project I'm looking for an engraver for) would garner a few more looks than a stripped AR lower. :)
