I was looking for the best podcasts that I could learn something from.
I travel a lot for work so it's the best way to pass time sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting on your delayed flight to get in.
    So far I listen to:
Dan carlins hardcore history and common sense.
    NPR radiolab and planet money.
    BBCs the infinite monkey cage.
Used to listen to star talk but it seems less substantive here of late.

    What should I download?

I actually listened to most the "stuff you should know "ones too as of late they seem to be running out of material though, good episodes seem fewer and further between.

I'll have to look at the stuff you missed in history class though

Anyone catch the last Hardcore History podcast on Nazi Germany vs. Imperial Germany?

And I'll add these to the "must listen" list:
    • Cautionary Tales with Tim Hartford (excellent production values and voice acting)
    • World's Greatest Con with Brian Brushwood (season is amazing for WWII spy buffs)
    • You Are Not So Smart with David McRaney (might be too liberal for some delicate conservative)

If you're into science consider Sean Carroll's Mindscape podcast. It's science based and covers a wide range of issues with guests. It might be a good replacement of Star Talk (which I dropped for the same reason as you).
