Interesting if convoluted article in Breitbart concerning the upcoming Speaker of the House vote. There is concern that a block of conservative representatives who will cross their arms, stamp their feet and not vote for McCarthy under any circumstances (a familiar ring). With the tiny majority that the elephants have in the house the very real possibility exists that McCarthy would then not receive enough votes to secure the gavel.

So then, the prediction goes, the "moderate " elephants cross their arms, stamp their feet and make a deal with the devil; securing donkey votes for a "moderate" elephant for speaker in exchange for rule changes to, for starters
"weaken subpoenas coming from the new House GOP majority into Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration."

What kind of ******** is this? Why does our side succumb to personality-based pettiness which only serves to weaken our cause, while the other side walks in synchronized goose steps with the hag for the good of the party?

Republicans don't like conservatives, libertarians, or any real liberty minded constituents. They'll take your votes and pander some of the issues important to those groups but at the end of the day, all they really want is power.

You must not pay attention to the other side if you think that. They've had their own issues with the progressive members in the past.
