Hey everyone look at me. I had a distasteful mod interaction in a private conversation that I want you all to know about. Man, there are far more important things to fret over in life than what took place in a private conversation around here. Trust me I know and am dealing with some serious life issues right now. I'm sure the mods have had to take quite a bit of abuse from a Richard in a private conversation that they never aired out in the open forum. Get over it, move on.

My 2 cents: This is where you pushed it. Regardless of the legality, you should have left it alone and moved on when you were told it doesn't comply with the site's rules. You don't get to decide what level of control is "extra".

I remember back around 2010 how Ingo was a mess with the good ol boys club and dog piles. Some things never change. I lurk more than anything anymore just to stay out of all the drama. Sad thing is, there's a couple of guns in the classifieds I like to have but I'm just too wore out to travel and buy them. That and I don't think they'd like me doing gun deals at Methodist hospital

Thats not a posted rule and after the vailed threat of "starting **** with a mod" private was no longer an option

Seems to me that you were trying to start **** with the mods and the administration by basically telling them that they were being dictatorial and authoritarian for issuing the rule to stand down from posting classifieds that include pistol braces for the time being. At which point the mod simply said after that "I think we're done here" in response to you calling them out for doing so, but apparently that wasn't good enough for you and you chose to take it into the open forum.

One time I was looking at a snubby in classifieds and without thinking I commented on the ad something like "nice snubby."
Then I got a message saying I'd broken the rules and I had to sit out for like a day.
Know what I did? I sat out for a day. Know what I didn't do? Send a snarky message asking why they made me sit out.
If you want to play you have to follow the rules. OP is clearly at fault here, and making it worse.

I did the same thing but asked a question. Wasn't here for a couple years, rules had changed since then because of the "bumping" by "members". Mod cited the rule infraction in the message.
