Hunting partner has been tied up with more pressing matters this entire season.

Keeping him and his in thoughts and prayers...hoping upcoming seasons are better.

Shot a nice doe this morning. I'll never shoot another deer while hunting alone again. Thought I was going to die getting her drug out and up into the truck. I'm only 53 but today I felt 90.
Always wanted to go hunting. 3 back surgeries later thats definitely not going to ever happen. I hear ya:)

Picked up my doe from the butcher yesterday. Gotta learn how to do it myself. I can , it just takes forever.
Watch the video, on YouTube, from the guy on GrowingDeerTv. He simplifies breaking down a deer pretty well. If I can get one hung up at home within an hour or two of the kill, I don't even field-dress them.

TheBeardedButchers are also a good YouTube resource for all things butcher. They have videos on breaking down the individual sections as well as producing sausages. They also sell seasonings.

I didn't want to start a thread just to show a production video. I figured folks that deer hunt might enjoy, so posting it here.
