For new movies, all prices are going to be almost identical between theaters. Your best bet is to find a matinee.

Carmel had one until they either triple or quadrupled their rent and forced 'em out. Used to be a great place to go on a date.

look for groupons or online discounts for tickets. You may find a bargain for a Sunday-Thursday event

15% off Fandango gift card you can then use to buy ticket. It's an e-card

Matinee is $7.50 at Regal in Carmel (my first job, I was in a tux on opening night!). 15% off that would be under $6.50/ticket.$10 evening show ticket. Don't buy the food either :)

This is a little out-of-the-box from what you were asking, but if you run in to the Indiana Blood Center closest to you for 30 minutes and donate a pint of whole blood, they almost 100% of the time will give you a coupon for a free movie ticket.

I go the IMAX on the south-side Saturday or Sunday before noon and it's only $5.00. I also don't have to deal with crowds. Just watch out for that afternoon sun when you leave.
