I've been out in it gardening, pulling weeds and such. It goes from sunny to smokey. Feels 20 degrees hotter in the sun.

Buddy sent me this from this morning...

Damn. What did you do? Ive crossed the border at least twice a year for the last 15 years (up until covid) and never so much as a sideways glance. Even with my wife's aunt that works on the ferry yelling to the US customs guys on the dock to search us because we are smuggling in something. :): (they probably ignored us extra knowing we are related to the crazy canadian lady on the boot. )
I tried to bring two 22 round Glock .40 magazines, fully loaded with defensive ammunition across the border the last time I went up a few years back. 100% unintentional and 100% my fault. They were not happy, very very very not happy but I paid my fine and enjoyed seven days of amazing fishing in spite of it.

Hoping to make another trip up this fall. I expect a full body cavity search when I do and will consider myself as having gotten off lucky if all they do is disassemble the vehicle now that I'm in the system.:lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:

It's definitely thick here but I was surprised at how much it affected my ability to be outside working. Took the wind out of my sails pretty quickly, I'm usually in for a couple more hours than I got in today.

Drove a work van across the border. I was going to the casino across from St. Clair Michigan. They were pissed there were tools in the van and it would allow me to work in Canada illegally. They got hung up on my address and because they couldn't find a record of it. Then they got more hung up when I didn't know the address changed to the house I grew up in. Thanks e911 address.

Currently in St. Ignace Michigan. Yesterday was terrible visibility wise. The view from our house to Mackinac Island is just about 4 miles, yesterday you couldn't see the island, you couldn't see Round Island or when we were on the ferry to Mackinac Island you could not see the bridge. It never really cleared up until late in the day. It smelt like a wildfire outside.

Today was much better visibility was a little bit of haze but much better.

Snow Mexicans are trying hard to ruin our vacation.
