Alright, so I want to get a CZ-75 in .40 S&W, and what I was wondering is if I could swap this over to a 9mm when I wanted to? I've seen a 9mm "kit" for it, and I wasen't exactly sure if it was legit or not, so any help would be great! Thanks.

I've never seen a .40/9mm kit for the 75. It may exist, though. I know that the Cadet is a .22lr conversion, but that's the only one I've seen.

The EAA Witness is more known for drop in slide/barrel conversion kits.

Alright, thanks guys. I was kind of iffy when I saw it. And I really am considering going with a .40 instead of a 9mm just for the stopping power, and I really dont want to upgrade to a .45 so it seemed like a nice medium.

Only problem with going 9mm right now is ammo availability. You can find .40 S&W pretty easily still in the usual locations. I just shot my 75b in .40 today along with my P-01 and they both shoot well.

I noticed Plainfield Shooting Supplies has a 75BD, a 75 Compact with decocker, and a 75 Compact with safety in stock as of 30 minutes ago.

Ive been pretty happy with my CZ75-P01 that I bought back in 2006 for a mere $310 NIB. Decocker, tritium sights and goes bang every time. Havent had to shoot anyone with it so......but if i did and it did not workout I would just grab up my glock 30 and try again. :D

If swapping is what you want, get the new FNP which uses the same frame and trigger mechanism for the 9 and .40.

If you want a CZ, get the 9mm.

All my CZs are 9mm. I traded my CZ in 40 for a Pre B 75 a while back so they all use the same mags and ammo now. How much was the Compact out at PSS?

I think they were $509 for the safety, $569 for decocker.

I need to use a metal sharpie on my .40 magazines, I don't need to confuse them in my range bag.

I was debating the while 9 v 40 debate, and even though it's hard to find for now, things should settle back down before too long.

I would get 9mm over the .40S&W. I would also go with a .45ACP over the .40. I have found that small people (wife/kids) can shoot the .45ACP better than the 9mm or .40S&W. Recoil is a push with the .45 and a sharp rap to the hand with the 9mm or .40S&W. I carry a 9 round .32ACP and a 15 round 10mm. If SHTF you should be able to find 9mm and .45 easier as that's what our military would be using.
