I really want to understand why it takes so long. The 4-6 months I was told is really ridiculous. They take our money and take their sweet ass time. No excuse for them not to get more people helping or working longer shifts.

I applied for mine November 27th and am still waiting for my permit. Not sure how much longer but i was told when i applied it would only take 3-4 weeks.

My wife did the L-1 on 12/12/12, called today and was told they are working on 12/7/12. The lady told her it would be a couple weeks yet.

I just got off the phone with ISP. I was told that they're not even looking at any application until 14 weeks after the money order was cashed, at the earliest, for the non L1 process.

Apparently, they're overwhelmed with LTCH applications.

Just called to check on the status of my app and they said L1 is running 6 weeks. 16 weeks for traditional. Sent mine in on 12/20(L1) so should be getting close.

All I have say about this 14 weeks after MO is cashed is down right pathetic. Citizens do everything right and the "law" does whatever they want. Frustrating!

Man a huge flood of new LTCH requests. And they probably haven't hired more staff to process. I'm sure a decent percentage of people didn't pay the extra $10 for the e-background check.They're gonna get backed up.

My son went down just this last Friday to the local sheriff's office. They told him he should get it sometime in April.

I applied the traditional way on November 2nd, still waiting. But when it comes in, I'm going to get it hard laminated, and buy a Beretta nano with a nice pocket holster =)

I did mine all L1 online and everything was paid January 8th. Do you think i'll have my Ltch by March 8 when i go on a hiking trip in Colorado?
