I'm going on 4.5 months. I had a snafu about 7 years ago (underage drinking) and it has been "at background check" for quite a few weeks. Does anyone know if there is a way I can provide extra information to help them figure out if I'm worthy? (I've held Govmn't clearance and passed I-9 background checks) It's frustrating!

I also had an arrest to underage drinking and got mine in 12 weeks. I would suggest giving them a call and asking what's going on.

Upgrading mine from 4yr to LT as it expires this year....did the L1, no criminal record, and turned everything in to local PD on Monday Jan 28....was told by local PD it would take 10 days. I'm pretty sure they are mistaken but we'll see.

Lol its going to take longer than 3 to 4 weeks. For those who were told this,
prepare to wait around 1 to 2 months

The lady I spoke to when I called to inquire mentioned that they (ISP) were trying to get the applications processed as fast as possible, but they "have more applications than ever, and they're coming in faster than ever".

Which, IMHO, is a good thing.

Just got off the phone with ISP and the current backlog for NON L1 is 16 weeks minimum wiht a clean record and 6 weeks minimum L1 with a clean record.

Glad I went L1, but still tired of waiting :(

After L1 in late Sept., Lifetime LTCH was received in mid-October after 21 calendar days with one postal holiday in the mix.

Now the waiting time has doubled, ouch!

I guess it would be exactly 50 working days for me.

Marion county, L1, former 4 year no priors.

ISP told me to call back last friday,

I figure i might just as well wait till tomorrow to call back.:dunno:

If they are supposed to be working on 12/12's I shouldn't have to wait too much longer.
perhaps it will be here Friday:rockwoot::dunno:

Now when they say they are on 12/12/12 apps does that mean they are working on applications submitted on that day or is that the day they received your info from your local? I applied 12/15/12 paid local on 12/21/12...

What should I base my wait time on? I know by now they have all my info. So would they just be going to the app date?

I would assume (we all know what happens when you assume) that it would be when they recieve the fingerprints.

I applied for mine in mid Nov 2012 (L1 online prints). Nothing yet. I don't expect mine soon, I have some non violent (class A) misdemeanor traffic offenses from the 80's when we all used to drag race with our muscle cars. Even though I had a carry permit from 1985-1989, and it took a week to mine back then. with the class A misdemeanors .
I'm guessing it may take more time for me. June maybe.

    good luck

I applied on-line on July 6th, 2012. I had just about given up, but when I got home today (January 30, 2013) there it was in my mailbox! Just about 7 months. I had no priors at all, nothing, only one speeding ticket in my entire life. But I have it now, finally.
