Wow. The first details finally come out. And it's from a source across the pond. And what kind of gun shoots two people, the set and leaves glass everywhere (unless shot more than once)?
Shotgun maybe.

Read the article. There had already been 3 NDs on set before they walked off. They also walked off because they were on set 12 to 13 hrs per day and then expected to drive the 50 miles to ABQ because the production company was too cheap to put them up in SAF. They were worried that fatigue might lead to an accident as they were putting in 15 to 16 hr days (50 mile drive both ways plus time on set)A crew walk-off and a live round appears in a prop gun....
There may be more here than at first appears.
What is it about celebrities that get in trouble that makes their hair so ****ed up?'Rust' crew describes on-set gun safety issues and misfires days before fatal shooting
At least one of the camera operators complained last weekend to production managers about gun safety on the set.www.latimes.com
and you swap out the gun for a different one for the firing scene..No idea about the script, but for dramatic camera closeup shots you wold need something looking like a complete cartridge. I've seen movies with slow motion guns chambering rounds, or close ups of revolvers with bullets visible. It won't last on the news as was said earlier.
Seems his lawyers will need to hire a few good writers in order to spin a story together to make him look like the victim and attempt to avoid prosecution. Hope the victim's family will get compensation before his $$$ runs out.
Yep. Saw a story where it said he was rehearsing a scene and when shooting the scene he said “like this” or something like that and pulled the trigger. I’m betting it was a scene where it wasn’t a shooting scene, but just a up close shot, and he pulled the trigger on a live gun screwing around.and you swap out the gun for a different one for the firing scene..
But I bet Alec didn’t have any trouble getting his paychecks.Read the article. There had already been 3 NDs on set before they walked off. The production company had scabs in place on the set before the pros had even loaded up their equipment
So many questions here. Too cheap to spring for a hotel less than an hour away? Locals save money.Production crew walked off Baldwin movie set before tragic shooting
The workers had been complaining about the fact they had to stay overnight in Albuquerque - an hour's drive from the set - and not Sante Fe because production wouldn't pay for their hotels.www.dailymail.co.uk
The crew walked off over safety conditions. Was replaced by locals lol.
I read it. My hypothesis still stands. Disgruntled worker loads a real cartridge. Mayhem ensues.Read the article. There had already been 3 NDs on set before they walked off. To the town of New mexico rode a stranger one fine day
Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip
For the actor there among them had a big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
It was early in the filming when he rode into the town
He came riding from his trailer slowly lookin' all around
He's an actor loud and whining, came the whisper from each lip
And he's here to do some acting with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
Wow. My article said "top level talent".
Let me guess, he's a big gun control zealot
