Remy 700 22-250 has been my fav for a while - took my 308 once and found it too much - the 700 leaves more of a pelt -

6.5 Grendel out of an AR15. Reaches out a long range, but doesn't destroy everything, yet hits its target with authority to stop it where it stood.

222 rem rem 700. I guess I never left the late 1970's for varmints.

    24" BDL Varmint Special?

    That is a super sweertheart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell in Indiana one doesn't need anything more.

I run a .243 and have for decades but I started with a 660 triple deuce. One of these days I'll get an old BDL.

It'd be a great rig for my youngest daughter :)

Currently my go to gun is my T/C Contender Super 16 in 223 Remington with a Choate folding stock. For a walking varmint rifle they don't come much shorter or lighter.

It depends on how I'm hunting yotes, if I'm running dogs I use a 12 gauge loaded with 3" mag 4 buck and carry a Ruger 22/45 if they bay it up. When I'm calling them I use my .223 AR and the 12 Gauge.
