    I agree! An example of such would be the transformation from the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution as it is. The delegates of the states were sent to fix certain elements of the Articles. These same delegates ended up trashing the Articles and rewrote the laws of the land.

    This is a bogus argument. The writers of our constitution were fully authorized by the colonial legislatures to write the constitution.

    Not an argument at all. Just a mere statement as to what could be done by any one group, put in the situation. There were no restraints, and the Confederation was dissolved. Good, or bad, the same could happen again. I agree with the tenets of such, if the convention is able to be limited to certain topics. I am of a pointed view that it may not be a bad idea, but should be thought out and followed through. The original delegates did not know where they were going, but knew that changes were needed. I do believe that changes need to be made. The federal government needs to be limited and adherent to the abidings of the States. ~~"One Man's Opinion!"
