    Just heard on Gun Talk that Florida is now permitless carry.
    Is this something that had previously passed, and is just now going into affect, or is this new?

    To think that 54% of the states are Constitutional Carry is something I would've never even considered 10 years ago.
    True, but to think that we’d need a government-issued permission slip to exercise a God-given, natural right affirmed in our Constitution is something many of us would’ve never even considered a few short years ago, either.

    It's been that way far longer than the lifespan of any human, so not sure who can remember that. Most states banned carry in the mid to late 1800s.

    There have been more restrictions placed on firearm ownership in 1934, 1968 (and lots of additional bad ideas in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s +) But "carry" has been continuously getting better since the 1980s.
